*Canceled - WEX Inc. is pleased to sponsor a Gas Card Skimming Seminar conjunction with NCR, Quick Fuel, International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI), SAPTA Working Group, 
and the United States Secret Service.
Preventing Gas Card Skimming at the Pump” will provide fraud education and prevention strategies to combat fleet card skimming at the pump. This seminar is targeted to local WEX gas station merchants and law enforcement focusing on credit card fraud. This crime and the losses associated with the it impact all of us in one way or another. Cooperation and Collaboration is the only sensible way to combat it.

    The current state of ATM related crimes and schemes.
  • Steve Webster, Retired South Portland, Maine Detective and current WEX Corporate Investigator.
    Impact that skimming has on businesses and financial institutions.

Part II: Law enforcement strategies to prevent skimming and live defendant case study.

  • Sgt. David Gunter - Fayette County SO Detective 
    A modern day view of the skimming scene in the Greater Atlanta Area
  • Agent Peter Brown, -GSA-OIG Atlanta, GA
    Agent Brown charged a skimming suspect following a lengthy federal investigation in Miami. (when Agent Brown was with a different agency). That suspect, who was recently released from custody after serving his prison sentence, will address the attendees along with Agent Brown. Together, they will explain the circumstances that led to the charges while discussing the mindset of a skimmer maker and installer. This presentation will be captivating and informative!
